Dual-chamber heating

Two chambers, used in sequence

ClooX runs two heating cycles on the same stick. The first chamber heats the core. The second surrounds the stick and reaches the outer layer that centre heating never touches.

The limitation

Centre heating only works on the centre

Most heated tobacco devices use a centre pin or blade. Energy is delivered to the middle of the stick and falls off sharply towards the perimeter. In practice, a large part of every stick never reaches the temperature it needs.

Behaviour

Concentrated energy

The heating element sits in the middle of the stick. Heat has to travel outward through the tobacco, and it loses intensity on the way.

Result

A partially used stick

After a session the core is spent while the surrounding layer is still largely intact — material the user has paid for and does not consume.

Consequence

One session per stick

Because the second half of the stick is unreachable, the user replaces it. The cost per session stays high and so does consumption.

Cross-section

What the stick looks like after heating

A simplified cross-section of the stick. Orange marks tobacco that has been brought up to temperature; grey marks tobacco that never got there.

Cross-section comparison: conventional centre heating versus the ClooX two-chamber sequence Three cross-sections. A conventional device heats only the centre, leaving the outer ring unheated. ClooX Chamber 1 heats the core for the first session. ClooX Chamber 2 then heats the outer ring from the perimeter inward, so the whole stick is used. Conventional device Centre heated once Outer ring ends up unused ClooX · Chamber 1 Core heated, session one Outer ring still intact ClooX · Chamber 2 Wrap heated, session two Outer ring now reached
Brought up to temperature Never reached temperature Illustrative cross-section — not to scale.
The sequence

Four steps, one stick

The routine adapts what users already do. Nothing about the first session changes — the difference is what happens next.

Load the stick

The stick goes into Chamber 1 exactly as with any centre-heating device.

Session one

Chamber 1 brings the core up to temperature. This is the draw your customers already know.

Re-seat the stick

The same stick moves to Chamber 2, which surrounds it rather than piercing it.

Session two

Chamber 2 heats from the perimeter inward and works the outer layer the first session could not reach.

Inside the head

Two heating geometries, one device

The two chambers are built differently because they have different jobs. One drives energy to the centre; the other applies it around the outside.

Chamber 1 — core heating

A centre element delivers energy directly into the middle of the stick, the same principle used across the category. Character and draw time stay familiar, so the first session requires no relearning from your customers.

Chamber 2 — wrap heating

The second chamber surrounds the stick and applies heat from the perimeter inward. Because the outer tobacco is finally brought up to temperature, the second session carries the aroma and intensity that the first one left behind.

What it changes

Three things your channel will notice

Flavour

A second session worth having

Because the outer layer is now heated rather than discarded, the second round is richer and more aromatic than the first — not a weaker repeat of it.

Economics

A lower cost per session

One stick covers two sessions. For the end user that means less spend on consumables for the same number of sessions, which supports retention and repeat purchase.

Selling

A visible difference

“It heats the stick twice” is a claim a customer can verify with a second draw. That is rare in a category where most products look and behave alike.

Compliance statement

What we do and do not claim
